Unconditional Love

We as children of the Divine are capable of more than conditional love. We are worthy of more than conditional love. Unconditional love is our birthright, our power, and something we hunger for in this material world:

* “I have never met a person whose greatest need was anything other than real, unconditional love.” - Elizabeth Kubler-Ross
* “I believe that unarmed truth and unconditional love will have the final word in reality.” – Martin Luther King, Jr.
* “Remember, in our inmost being, we are all completely lovable because spirit is love. Beyond what anyone can make you think or feel about yourself, your unconditioned spirit stands, shining with a love nothing can tarnish.” - Deepak Chopra
* “The greatest gift that you can give to others is the gift of unconditional love and acceptance.” - Brian Tracy.
* “But groundless hope, like unconditional love, is the only kind worth having.” - John Perry Barlow

Take a moment to reflect on a challenge that you are facing today. How might you approach that challenge differently if you loved yourself unconditionally throughout every moment of this day? How might your interactions with loved ones be different if you loved them all unconditionally?

There are many ways to open the heart to unconditional love. Here is one of them: think of just one person you love and ask yourself why you love them. Because they’re nice to you? Because they make you happy? Try to keep going deeper, beneath their ever-changing words, actions, and varying impacts on you (e.g., “making” you happy, sad, angry, guilty, etc.) Now: why do you love them?

May you take a few moments today to reflect on unchanging, unconditional love!
